I should probably begin by stating that L-Carnitine is a naturally occuring non-essential amino acid that is sythesized through two essential amino acids called lysine and methionine. Non-essential amino acids are non-essential because our body has the ability to acquire them through the essential aminos. Essential amino acids need to be attained through our diets.
