Worldwide Sport Pure Protein Shake, Frost Chocolate Review

I started taking the Worldwide Sport Pure Protein Shake to control the weight after a serious intestinal operation. As I was in bed rest for more than a month, I started putting weight and before things went out of proportion, I had to get back to the protein drinks. I was particularly looking for something that is easy on stomach and does not cause gas troubles and indigestion.

One of my colleagues suggested the Worldwide and this is really hands down winner. Only thing missing in this protein shake is that it does not contain any trace of vitamins and minerals. As the name suggests this is a pure protein shake. That is not a problem and the vitamins can be supplemented by fresh fruits and veggie salad.

This comes in different flavors including banana, strawberry, and vanilla and since I have a liking towards chocolate; my favorite pick is the Frosty Chocolate. I tried Vanilla once and found it to be excessively sweet. When it comes to chocolate, the sweetness is balanced. Initially when I tasted the Frosty Chocolate for the first time, it was difficult to believe that it is a chocolate drink. Flavor was too mild and in fact it did not have any chocolate taste. Simply put it was as if some water and sweetened milk infused with protein was delivered in a can. After few sips, I got the feel of it and the chocolate flavor slowly started coming out.

It has a fairly thick consistency and hence it has to be shaken well before opening. Even the most efficient blender cannot make such a smooth protein drink. Pure Protein Frosty Chocolate does not have any weird after taste and this tastes best when served chill. This becomes a treat when poured over ice cubes. If you ask me, I would suggest the Worldwide Pure Protein over the Atkins, EAS and Slimfast because of its high protein content and relatively sophisticated taste.

As far as I know there is no other protein shake available in the market that comes with 34 gm of protein in single serving and that too with just 170 calories. Ratio of the carbohydrates and protein is ideal. A single serving consists of just 4 gm carbohydrates and fat is about 1gm. Above all there is no sugar or aspartame added to it. This pumps protein to the body without loading with fat or carbohydrates. Not only that the low carbohydrate and fat is good for weight watchers.
